All the Pieces of my Dream Living Room: Wall Decor

Now for the wall décor to add to our living room!

These windows are so nice and they would go well with the wood already in the room. I love the window wall décor look. It's so old fashion and charming.

Now for something that portrays outward to give some dimensions to the wall. These mason jar lamps will create an aura of peace, bringing some subtle lighting to the room.

A little pop of color and class. This picture is so subtly inviting, with it's purple tone. It is a more feminine touch with the flowers, so pick this one or the one below depending on what you feel. I, myself, don't much like flowered pictures nor the color purple.. forgive me if your an avid purple flower lover.. but I wanted to add variety and this picture could actually change my opinion.

So, there it is. What do you think? Now this is a canvas trying to look like wood, so again not what I would normally promote. But come one, it's pretty stunning and makes me want to run through of field of lavender! Do you know lavender is a natural stress reliever? Buy your lavender oils here and breathe them in deeply. Natural remedies, yes please!

Now for a more neutral tone to add a pop of color. Forgive my outburst, but I think this piece is AWESOME!! It's so country with the distressed metal. It adds a pop of color and I love when that pop is red.. or yellow, or teal, but red in this case.. yes! And a compass? Come on, stop. So cool!

Ok, I think we need one more wall piece to make our walls complete. Nope, two more actually. One to go with the lavender and one to go with the compass. 

This will go nicely with the lavender. It's the same canvas type and has nice neutral colors that will blend well with the white couches and still let that purple pop!

Now, these two canvases are 16" x 24" so they might not fill up your whole wall space so you may need just one more item to complete it. And you can't go wrong with a clock. There are so many clocks that have such an awesome vintage look. They make you think old fashion and maybe I'll sit on my front porch with a whiskey coke and play some guitar and look at the clock all the time because it's so cool looking but never actually check the time. Stress free life. Lavender and clocks.  Or maybe that's just me...

Now the last picture for the walls with the compass design, pop of red. So I don't want to talk this up too much because .. no... I can't contain my excitement. This piece is probably my favorite thing on amazon! I want to make one myself one day. I don't know what it is about it, but the colors and the map make me want to 1) go on a journey across the world and become a cultured junky 2) be grateful that I'm home and not traveling.. all at the same time. Conflicting emotions, but so much emotion this piece brings! It's makes me feel inspired and grateful; longing and content.

All the Pieces of my Dream Living Room: Furniture

The place people gather and find comfort. The place deep and meaningful conversation after a shared meal can occur. The place to relax and kick off your shoes and watch a movie. The place to play. The place to read. It's the room to live, no wonder it got this name. First, the most important piece of the living room. Couches. How can relaxing occur without a comfy couch to sink your butt into?


I think white couches are so nice in a living room, especially with light colored walls. Adds a peaceful, calm feel. They are the first thing that brings the space together. Sectionals are great too because they really fill out the room and don't waste space in corners like a couch and love seat have the potential of doing.

This is my dream sectional, I mean look at the head rests. They are adjustable! Can you be anymore comfortable?


Next, coffee table and ends tables. I like them all to match because it creates a sense of order and organization to the room. The room can be a complete disaster, and hey, it is most ALL of the time, but having some matching furniture helps keeps things together, at least in my mind. I can see all the clutter or I can see that the bones of this room are good and the mess is just fun times that have happened.



This coffee table is so farmhouse with the x shaped frames. And it's unfinished which makes it so much more exciting in my eyes because I love to paint. There are many nice tables out there for those who aren't into the whole painting scheme, or you could just get this one unfinished and just leave it as is to add a rustic tone to your living room. I would paint it to match my end tables.

I love these end tables because the design of the frame is so unique. Yes, they don't match the coffee table completely and I said how important it is to match BUT as long as they're the same color, they're matching in my eyes.

Next lighting for these beautiful tables. I wanted two lamps, again to match and I found these on amazon.





























It's a set of two and maybe a bit pricey, sometimes I have expensive taste but these are perfect for my living room because they have a white tone, but also the wood color wanting to perch through, really makes a statement and adds to the calm feel I want.

Next is the carpet. I love browsing carpets. There are so many different colors and fashions out there.  Some are the best design, but then the feel of them is all off. Some are so comfy and you want to lay down and take a nap on them, but they are ugly as all get out. It's hard to get a feel for the right one, but for me, when you know.. you know it's the one! The one that will fit perfectly in your room. The one that will add that last sense of charm you were hoping for. Area rugs really bring the whole room together.

Now I would have wood flooring, a dark natural oak wood floor but we would need an area rug to add a sense of comfort and togetherness to the space.

This one was so cool and unique, I couldn't pass it up!

I'm not sure how well this would go with our living room space but I would just want to have it in my home, and hey, the colors work. If you want to add a bold statement, then yes! Here's one that's a little more neutral and simple. But I think either one would suit the space amazingly!

I looked up Farmhouse Well on Amazon because I love those old wells for your lawn, but some of them can look just tacky.
